Summer fever

Although today it is really cold I feel like going to the beach, don't you?:-) As I look out of the window I can see trees covered in green and the sun is shining ( well, not today but usually during the summer, but I can imagine) so I feel my soul is warming up and my feet feel a desire to go out and walk all day or - what I prefer - to rollerblade in my town.

I've already planned my summer: I'll help my parents and then I'll go to the beach which is near. At some weekends I go camping with my friends to the River Danube and of course we bring a lot of spray against killing mosquitoes. I'll also go to Croatia for a week with my boyfriend. We plan to go to the South of Dalmatia.

And of course I'll relax a lot while lying on the sun. It is a pleasure after this hard first year in the University. But till then I'll have lots of difficult exams, assignments to write. So until then I only have the fever and the desire to rollerblade......

Masquarade flavoured with milk loaf and mulled wine

Every year lots of mysterious animals swarm in the streets of Mohács. These animals are called Buso. They've got thick fur with big bells on their waist. Their face is similar to the evil's face and it is red from the victims' blood. They've got sharp, enormous tooth and a big mouth to be able to eat people. Their slogan is "offence is teh best form of defence". At first they spit water on the citizens and tourists then sprinkle flour or soot on their enemies. Finally, buso make people drink a cayenne pepper flavoured mulled wine. These victims will be next year members of the Buso-society.

When the sun goes down, it's time to make piece and the Buso light the bonfire placed in the middle of the Széchenyi square. Buso, tourists and citizens drink red or white mulled wine, eat milk loaf flavoured with honey, cinnamon or cocoa or other fine things. Then everybody dance around the fire until it burns down. Some people are so brave that they turn somersaults on the live coal. You will enjoy it even if you've seen it several times. And you really must try that cayenne flavoured mulled wine, it's very fine!
